Helping Kids Overcome Obstacles to School Success
Since 1982, Student Advocacy has worked to get kids on track to school success. Many of the children we help are struggling to overcome obstacles created by a disability, family problems, poverty, or youthful mistakes. Our services include:
• advocating individually for children at school to obtain the help each child needs and is entitled to by law
• collaborating with other services to help families access community services critical to school success
• educating parents and professionals about educational rights
• advocating to change educational policies and practices that impede student success.
With expertise in the laws and practices of educational, juvenile justice and mental health systems, we get kids on track to school success!
We are proud to provide a service that has been used by over 22,000 youth throughout Westchester and Putnam counties with great results.
This parent reflects the views of many: “You have made an incredible difference in our child’s academic success.”
